The St. Anne's Society will be selling an assortment of baked goods - including Okarche's Famous Cinnamon Rolls ($18/dozen) - after all Masses November 21-22, 2026, just in time for Thanksgiving! Pre-order your cinnamon rolls by November 10th for pick-up after any of the Masses on November 21-22. Proceeds will benefit the One Faith, One Family, One Future campaign.

The St. Lawrence Ministry is once again taking on the Thanksgiving Project and asking for donations so that households in our parish area can buy groceries. A contribution of $50 will help offset the cost of a gift card. If you are interested in supporting this project, please pay online or bring a check to the parish office (made out to Christ the King with "SLM-TG" on the memo line). Thank you for blessing others.

Christ the King’s Feed the Hungry Ministry is returning to our pre-Covid, monthly, family-based service outreach at the Wiley Post Event Center. On the fourth Sunday of each month, parishioners of all ages are invited to come together to prepare and serve a meal for people experiencing homelessness and hunger in our community. There are several ways to help! Volunteers are needed to prepare food, serve the meal, and help with cleanup. Families are especially encouraged to participate together in this hands-on opportunity to live out the Corporal Works of Mercy. Volunteers will meet in the Junior High parking lot at 11:30 a.m. for a brief prayer before caravanning to Wiley Post. Upon arrival around noon, we will unload, set up, serve the meal, and clean up. We expect to finish by approximately 1:45 p.m. Service hours: 1 hour for preparing food and 1 hour for serving food.

Blessings and Bunco is a fun CK Women's activity! Played quarterly, it's open all CK Women who would like to participate. Bring $5 CASH to play. We will supply the beverages (wine and tea or lemonade), so please bring a snack to share. This is a wonderful opportunity to meet new people and share how God is blessing you, as well as play Bunco!

Christ the King will host an OBI Blood Drive on Monday, November 9th from 2-7pm. All healthy parishioners who are at least 17 years of age with valid photo ID are encouraged to donate. Be sure to have a good meal and be well-hydrated before donating blood. Sign up online or in the Mayfield Foyer after Mass in the weeks leading up to the OBI Blood Drive at Christ the King.

Join us for Christ the King’s Annual Fall Carnival on Sunday, October 25, from 3:00–4:30 p.m.! Bring the whole family for an afternoon of fun featuring Trunk-or-Treat, bounce houses, carnival food, a cake walk, temporary “tattoos,” and more! Of course, an event this fun takes a parish family working together! We need volunteers to help make the carnival a success. CK students can earn Service Hours, and CK families can receive Family Hours for volunteering. At Christ the King, we are committed to strengthening healthy, joyful, and holy marriages by helping couples reflect Christ's love in their homes and in the world through our Marriage in His Image (MIHI) ministry. MIHI hosts monthly Date Nights on Saturday evenings, featuring fellowship, light refreshments, and a brief presentation on Catholic marriage. Childcare is just $10 per family and provided until 10pm. Open to couples in every stage of married life, MIHI offers encouragement, practical support, and opportunities to grow together in faith, love, and holiness.

This five-session mini-study designed for today’s busy lives. Each session combines clear teaching, meaningful reflection, and practical application to help you understand what the Church teaches about death, judgment, heaven, and hell. This study explores why the last things are not meant to cause fear, but to inspire hope and deeper trust in God’s promise of eternal life. With powerful videos and easy-to-follow readings, you’ll gain lasting insight into the last things and discover how living with eternity in mind gives everyday life deeper meaning and purpose. This class meets Wednesdays from 6:30-8pm, September 23 - October 28 (no class October 14). The cost is $16 for materials.

Jesus Gave Us the Greatest Bible Study of All Time. "Luke: The Story of Salvation Fulfilled" is an eight-session study that walks through key moments in salvation history. The Gospel of Luke takes readers on a journey from the foretelling of John the Baptist’s birth to Jesus’ Ascension into heaven. Because Faith is best taught and lived out in the family, the Church calls parents to be the first and foremost educators of their children. In Christ the King's Family Faith Formation program, children (in Pre-K3 through 6th grade meet with their catechists in the parish classrooms. Students in 7th through 12th grade meet with small group leaders, and parents meet for class in the parish Garden Room. Parents have guest speakers on the first Sunday of the month that they meet, and participate in small group experiences on the second Sunday that they meet.

Christ the King will host two Altar Server Training sessions from 10-11am on Saturday, June 20, and Saturday, July 18. Any parishioner who is in fourth grade or older is qualified to become an altar server. Why should we encourage our children to be altar servers? “It is an important task that enables you to be particularly close to the Lord and to grow in true and profound friendship with him. Guard this friendship in your hearts jealously, like St Tarcisius, ready to commit yourselves, to fight and to give your lives so that Jesus may reach all peoples.” (Benedict XVI, August 4, 2010). The Knights of Columbus Council 12669 is proud to offer the Jim Weinmann Bridge Scholarship to alumni of Christ The King School or parishioners of Christ The King Church who are attending Bishop McGuinness High School or Mount St. Mary High School for the 2026-2027 school year. Students who are interested in applying should fill out an online application. The application should include a short essay in the student’s own words explaining the value of a Catholic education for today’s high school students. The deadline to apply is July 31, 2026. Winners will be notified in early August.
