Feed the hungry: a family service-based opportunity
Christ the King’s Feed the Hungry Ministry is returning to our pre-Covid, monthly, family-based service outreach at the Wiley Post Event Center. On the fourth Sunday of each month, parishioners of all ages are invited to come together to prepare and serve a meal for people experiencing homelessness and hunger in our community.
There are several ways to help! Volunteers are needed to prepare food, serve the meal, and help with cleanup. Families are especially encouraged to participate together in this hands-on opportunity to live out the Corporal Works of Mercy.
Volunteers will meet in the Junior High parking lot at 11:30 a.m. for a brief prayer before caravanning to Wiley Post. Upon arrival around noon, we will unload, set up, serve the meal, and clean up. We expect to finish by approximately 1:45 p.m.
