GriefShare is a 14-week gentle support group for all individuals who have experienced the loss of a loved one. Catechesis of the Good Shepherd (CGS) is a Montessori-based educational approach to the religious formation of children from three years old through second grade. Children enter the mystery of the Eucharist in a variety of ways, including learning the names of the articles used on the altar, the preparation of the chalice, the Consecration, and the sign of peace. Through the experience of seeing these gestures, presented one by one, the Mass emerges as the Sacrament of the Gift. Adoration follows Mass in the Garden (Formal) Room until 12:00 Midnight.

There will be an Easter egg hunt for children on the playground after the 10:30am Mass on Easter Sunday.

Because Faith is best taught and lived out in the family, the Church calls parents to be the first and foremost educators of their children. In the Family Faith Formation program, children in preschool through 5th grade and their parents are able to meet with their catechists two Sundays a month to grow in their relationship with God and their understanding of faith together. PreK-2nd grade students are invited to attend Children’s Liturgy of the Word during 10:00am Mass, to be held the second Sunday of each month. All children who want to participate will be dismissed after the opening prayer and will return after a short children’s liturgy.

St. Lawrence Ministry is Christ the King's "benevolence" ministry, giving material assistance to those who need help paying utility bills, rent or purchasing prescriptions. Meetings take place on the second Monday monthly at 5pm in Room 114.

In an effort to foster healthy, happy and holy marriages in our homes, all engaged and married couples are invited to join us for Date Night, which involves a presentation and discussion on topics that support the enrichment of marriage at all stages.

Blessings and Bunco is a fun CK Women's activity! Played quarterly, it's open all CK Women who would like to participate. Bring $5 CASH to play. We will supply the beverages (wine and tea or lemonade), so please bring a snack to share. The CK Women's Spring Luncheon is an annual event to which all women of the parish are invited. Meet old and new friends, enjoy a great lunch, and hear from a great speaker. This year, parishioner Sally Riesenberg will share practical ways women can incorporate service into daily life—within our families and beyond. As we serve our families and reflect the light of Christ to our children, we are also called to extend that light to our communities and experience the beauty of serving others together. $25/guest. Parishioners volunteering for the Feed the Hungry Ministry provide items to feed the poor and homeless on the fourth Sunday of each month. Those helping with this family-friendly outreach program may sign up for the item(s) they plan to bring and deliver those items to the Junior High parking lot at 11:30 am on the assigned Sunday morning.

Teen Night will be both fun and an opportunity for teens to grow in their faith. Dinner will be provided, and parents are welcome to stay and get to know each other. Teen Night is for those currently in 8th through 12th grade. Noelle McHugh will be our guest presenter. So that we have an accurate count for dinner, please let us know if you will attend!

Christ the King usually has three OBI blood drives each year. All healthy parishioners who are at least 17 years of age with valid photo ID are encouraged to donate. Be sure to have a good meal and be well-hydrated before donating blood.
