Join Ilsa Maria (Mondays) and Brenda Phelps (Thursdays) in a weekly beginner's stretch and flow class to build strength and flexibility. We meet in the former rectory on Mondays and Room LL1 on Thursdays from 5:30-6:30pm. Cost is $10/class. Bring your own mat, block and water.

We will meet at 11am for lunch before we head down to the Regional Food Bank for our monthly 1:30 - 4:00pm shift. All volunteers must RSVP to Pam at (405) 842-1483 or [email protected] by the Friday prior to the event.

GriefShare is a 14-week gentle support group for all individuals who have experienced the loss of a loved one. The bereavement support process is ongoing and anyone who may benefit from it is encouraged to attend. Catechesis of the Good Shepherd (CGS) is a Montessori-based educational approach to the religious formation of children from three years old through second grade. Children enter the mystery of the Eucharist in a variety of ways, including learning the names of the articles used on the altar, the preparation of the chalice, the Consecration, and the sign of peace. Through the experience of seeing these gestures, presented one by one, the Mass emerges as the Sacrament of the Gift. The child becomes acquainted with the historical character of the liturgy through the events of the Last Supper, Christ’s death, and His resurrection. Register at https://ckokc.org/cgs

Blessings and Bunco is a fun CK Women's activity! Played quarterly, it's open all CK Women who would like to participate. Bring $5 CASH to play. We will supply the beverages (wine and tea or lemonade), so please bring a snack to share. This will be a wonderful opportunity to meet new people and share how God is blessing you, as well as play Bunco. If you have never played, don’t worry; it’s super easy to learn and play. The CK Women's Spring Luncheon is an annual event to which all women of the parish are invited. Meet old and new friends, enjoy a great lunch, and hear from a great speaker. This year, parishioner Sally Riesenberg will share practical ways women can incorporate service into daily life—within our families and beyond. As we serve our families and reflect the light of Christ to our children, we are also called to extend that light to our communities and experience the beauty of serving others together. $25/guest. Please register by April 20.

Weekly discussion meeting of parishioners who are reading the same book. The group alternates between contemporary and classic books. Each book is read and discussed over the course of 6-8 weeks.

Parishioners volunteering for the Feed the Hungry Ministry provide items to feed the poor and homeless on the fourth Sunday of each month. Those helping with this family-friendly outreach program may sign up for the item(s) they plan to bring and deliver those items to the Junior High parking lot at 11:30 am on the assigned Sunday morning.

Teen Night will be both fun and an opportunity for teens to grow in their faith. Dinner will be provided, and parents are welcome to stay and get to know each other. Teen Night is for those currently in 8th through 12th grade. Noelle McHugh will be our guest presenter. So that we have an accurate count for dinner, please let us know if you will attend!

Christ the King usually has three OBI blood drives each year. All healthy parishioners who are at least 17 years of age with valid photo ID are encouraged to donate. Be sure to have a good meal and be well-hydrated before donating blood.
