Tuesday, December 2 • 6:00pm "Night of Mercy" Penance Service Advent has a twofold character: as a season to remember and prepare for the birth of Christ, and as a season when that remembrance directs the mind and heart to await Christ’s second coming at the end of time. Advent is thus a period for devout and joyful expectation. While not strictly a penitential season, the celebration of the Sacrament of Reconciliation as a means to deepen conversion to receive both comings of Christ is advantageous to the Faithful. Multiple priests will be available to hear confessions.

Monday, December 8 • 7:00am | 12:00 Noon | 7:00pm Immaculate Conception of the Blessed Virgin Mary* *Holy Day of Obligation The Immaculate Conception refers to the dogma that the Blessed Virgin Mary was conceived without any stain of Original Sin in preparation for becoming the Mother of God, the Son Jesus Christ. The Church has celebrated the Immaculate Conception of the Blessed Virgin Mary with a feast since perhaps as early as the fifth century, and it was made a Holy Day of Obligation in 1708.
Sunday, December 14 All Masses: Bambinelli Sunday The Vatican has a tradition of the Holy Father blessing the Baby Jesus from family nativity scenes, called Bambinelli Sunday. This takes place on the third Sunday of Advent—Gaudete Sunday. Thursday, December 18 • 7:00am Rorate Caeli Mass A Rorate Caeli Mass, an Advent Tradition, is typically lit only by candlelight. Because it is a votive Mass in Mary’s honor, white vestments are worn instead of Advent violet. In the dimly lit setting, priests and faithful prepare to honor the Light of the world, Who is soon to be born, and offer praise to God for the gift of Our Lady. As the Mass proceeds and sunrise approaches, the church becomes progressively brighter, illumined by the sun as our Faith is illumined by Christ and representing Mary's role in bringing the Light of the World into the darkness of the world.
Wednesday, December 24 • 4:30pm | 7:30pm | 12:00 Midnight Nativity of our Lord Jesus Christ Christmas Eve Mass
Thursday, December 25 • 10:00am Nativity of our Lord Jesus Christ Christmas Day Mass
Wednesday, December 31, 2025 • 5:00pm Vigil of the Solemnity of Mary, Mother of God*
Thursday, January 1, 2026 • 10:00am Solemnity of Mary, Mother of God* *Holy Day of Obligation The Solemnity of Mary Mother of God falls exactly one week after Christmas, the end of the octave of Christmas. It is fitting to honor Mary as Mother of Jesus, following the birth of Christ. When Catholics celebrate the Solemnity of Mary Mother of God we are not only honoring Mary, who was chosen among all women throughout history to bear God incarnate, but we are also honoring our Lord, who is fully God and fully human. Calling Mary "mother of God" is the highest honor we can give Mary. Just as Christmas honors Jesus as the "Prince of Peace," the Solemnity of Mary Mother of God honors Mary as the "Queen of Peace."
