Have you suffered a divorce or separation and felt fear, condemnation, isolation, or disenfranchisement? The Catholic Church is not here to condemn but to facilitate healing that only God can offer. The Catholic Church inspires movement toward God even when things in your life seem difficult. Divorce does not have to define you. Instead, you can use your experience as an opportunity to move foward living in submission to God's will through fellowship with Him.
The Surviving Divorce program offers hope, healing, and community to those who have experienced the pain and loneliness of a broken marriage. This 12-week program is for the newly separated and divorced and those still struggling with issues many years later. It will help them answer their questions, restore hope, and begin authentic healing.
Classes begin June 1st and will meet each Saturday in Room 114 from 9am–11am. It covers topics such as shock and grief, anger and forgiveness, money issues, dealing with children and a former spouse, and annulment and remarriage. Materials are $20 and childcare is available.
Join others in a small group setting during which time participants will work through the emotional upheaval of separation and divorce. Learn about Church teachings on divorce, the annulment process, and tools that can help you manage difficult feelings and situations related to divorce or separation.
